2021: Returning Home — Day 21
We’re going home.
This has been confusing sometimes because I’ve lived in Canberra most of my life but now home is in Burrum Heads.
A quiet, expansive place.
A warm place where the weather is pretty much the same day in and day out.
We had a great time on the Gold Coast, but it was noisy (road traffic) and the weather was ever changing.
We had incredible rain — it was so beautiful to be in our Swan Outback and have the rain on the roof — I loved it.
I enjoyed the space and freedom of being away. Of working but not working. Of playing and relaxing. Of cancelling meetings — because of technical and weather glitches and I couldn’t maintain the standard.
I love the flexibility and the freedom.
I love what I’m creating.
I love what’s coming and what is.
One thing I did struggle with was the change in diet. We did pretty well but there were a couple of things that really affected me:
- almond milk hot chocolate x 2 (see chocolate is creeping in, through different ways)
- Chocolate confession ice cream — this was so good but it cause gut pain the next day and lead to crazy eating while my tummy tried to find balance.
- Crumbed chicken — that made me fart!!
So it’s ok to be off protocol, and then it’s about finding your balance again.
It comes quicker and quicker to come back into balance but I need or want to look after my gut.
I was proud of:
- letting go when things just didn’t work or weren’t like I would script them — that was totally ok
- Doing things for Chris before he asked, especially when we were packing up the Swan aka ‘Well Oiled Wagon’ ha ha
- Sitting — it did a bit of that.
